Education<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The main focus of the organisation is to educate the general and professional public in the provision of first and extended aid to the injured in unusual and life-threatening situations. To know how to react correctly in complicated events where the health and life of the injured and involved citizens and the rescuers are at risk and to respond dynamically to an ever-changingsituation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We teach how to coordinate assistance to the injured and minimize negative impacts on the health and life of others, using our resources and the resources found in the area of the hazardous situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are involved in the education of university students in the medical field. At the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Catholic University of Ru\u017eomberok, we teach Tactical Medicine courses, where we prepare second and third-year students of Emergency Health Care. The course aims to teach students \/future paramedics\/ how to assist the injured in specific conditions and situations in cooperation with the components of the Integrated Rescue System of Slovak Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our lecturer, Branislav Hrn\u010diar, is also a part-time Disaster Medicine lecturer at theFaculty of Security Engineering of the University of \u017dilina. Here he focuses on the overall issue and solution of crises, emergencies and disasters. In such events, the cooperation and coordination of individual procedures of several components of the IRS \/Fire and Rescue Corps, Emergency Medical Service, Police of the Slovak Republic and other units \/ are essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tactical medicine course - students of medical disciplines<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The course contents are adapted to theoretical knowledge and gradually developing practicalskills of the students. The second-year students are introduced to the concept of medicine used in tactical and combat situations on how they can assist the injured when the health and life of the involved parties are at high risk. They learn how to manage a dangerous situation and carry out the individual steps that save the life of the injured and minimise the level of risk to the rescuer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the third year, we emphasise the more extensive performance of medical aid to the injured. We teach students to use specific medical supplies and personal protective equipment in emergencies. The treatment of the injured is carried out following the Decree of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic, which amends the Decree of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic No. 321\/2005 Coll. on the scope of practice in certain health professions, as amended by 151\/2018 effective from 01.06.2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
